Suna Kirac Conferences

Suna Kirac Conferences

Suna Kirac Conferences on Neurodegeneration are biannual conferences organized by the Suna & Inan Kirac Foundation and Bogazici University in close cooperation with the Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital with the focus on understanding and treating ALS. The Kirac Foundation approached Zeo for an identity and branding for the series and the design of the collateral for their first conference in 2007 as a follow-up to Zeo's work on NDAL.

The challenge was to combine the focus of the conferences with Istanbul as the Foundation wanted to emphasize the location in the identity.

The identity features the DNA helix and the turquoise band through it symbolizes the Bosphorus of Istanbul. Zeo created textures to be used in the general branding which are very reminiscent of the Turkish ceramic tiles with their colors.
